How did you get into football?

My dad has always been massively into football, he used to play for Swindon & Watford when he was 19 so I was always going to end up playing football. I just naturally started to kick a ball when I was two.

Position you play how did that come about?

I have played pretty much every position apart from centre back! I got put as a full back when I was 16 and I haven’t looked back ever since! It’s the best of both worlds as I can attack and defend!

How did you progress from Chelsea?

When I was 19 I wanted to play first team football and unfortunately it wasn’t happening for me at Chelsea. I had a contact who was at QPR. I went to a training session and Martino, the manager at the time, said he would really like to sign me so I signed all the papers the next day. A couple of months went by and I realised QPR wasn’t the right club for me. I also had a contact at Portsmouth and was asked to come down and train. I trained for 2 weeks there and they asked me to sign for them. I spent 2 seasons at Portsmouth and I can honestly say it was the best 2 years of my playing career. While I was at Portsmouth, coming towards the end of my second season. Watford put a 7 day approach in for me, Portsmouth allowed them to have a chat with me and I went to train for a week with them. I loved it and for me it was the next step in my playing career.

What made you move to WFC Fulham

My time at Watford was cut short when I tore my meniscus and MCL and I actually gave up football for about 4 months. In those 4 months I missed football so much! I knew a girl called Ella Williams who I played at Chelsea with, who was at Fulham. She told me to come down and as soon as I did I connected with the team and the club instantly! The club has got a lot of ambition and that was what I was looking for

Aims for the future?

For this season it will definitely be to be injury free and just see where I can progress to again!

Setback and Injuries you'v had?

Unfortunately injuries have always been what I am known for. I was born with a condition called Hip Dysplasia so my hips are out of line and not in the sockets which can cause them to dislocate. Once my football career is over I will need a double hip replacement.

I have torn my hamstring, my calf, my hip flexor, tore my MCL and damaged my meniscus and I have over stretched the ligaments and tendons in my ankle.

Best moment so far in your career?

Winning the FA Youth cup with Chelsea & playing at Fratton Park!

Favourite player heroes?

Hannah Blundell has always been a big influence on how I like to play! She is such a strong defender but is so good in attack!

Your thoughts on future of womens game?

Within the last 2 years women’s football has escalated very quickly! The World Cup has done wonders for the game! Unfortunately I think equality is a very long way off and there are various arguments for and against it, however I am very excited to see how far we can progress as a sport.

Best team mate

My captain Mary Southgate (Mazza) she’s there for every single one of her team mates and is such an incredible person!
